A suspect is in the hospital after being shot by a Torrance County Sheriff’s deputy on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 31.
Deputies responded to a residence on Lexco Road. No deputies were hurt, and the suspect has non-life-threatening injuries, according to TCSO.
The New Mexico State Police will head up the investigation and they provided no additional information by press time.
The Mountainair Dispatch identified a man involved as a 29-year old convicted felon.
