Football fans planning to celebrate the big game this Sunday can take advantage of a safe ride home with the “Take a Ride on Us” program. This one-day offer provides residents in Sandoval, Bernalillo, and Santa Fe counties a free or discounted Uber ride instead of driving under the influence.
From 10 a.m. on Feb. 9 through 2 a.m. on Feb. 10, riders can enter the code BIGGAME25 under the “Vouchers” section in the Uber app to receive up to $10 off two trips. The program is limited to 1,000 rides, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The credit applies only to rides and does not cover Uber Eats or driver tips.
According to a press release, the ‘Take a Ride on Us” program has provided more than 53,000 safe rides to Albuquerque Metro area residents since launching in 2017. This public-private partnership is dedicated to reducing impaired driving and making roads safer during special events and holidays when alcohol consumption is common.
