This month, the Town of Edgewood will recognize community volunteers at the Community On the Way (COW) Awards and Potluck Banquet.
The COW Awards will be presented at the banquet on March 13 at 6 p.m. at Estancia Valley Classical Academy.
According to a press release, the awards recognize Edgewood volunteers and organizations that support community activities in the town.
“Without volunteers, our community would not be the great place it is today,” according to the release.
In 2001, the Edgewood Parks and Recreation Committee created the COW Awards to recognize the volunteers who served the Edgewood community.The COW Awards ballot features 13 candidates in eight categories. Voting is available online, at Town Hall and at the Edgewood Library until March 6.
