Gloria Jean Garcia

Gloria Jean Garcia, age 80, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, surrounded by her six loving children. Gloria was born in Tajique, New Mexico, to Rosendo Aragon and Silveria (Barela) Aragon. She was baptized on December 25, 1943, a cherished day marking the beginning of a life filled with love and devotion to her family and faith.

Gloria was a strong woman with a kind soul, a remarkable woman who touched many lives. Gloria had a contagious smile and when she loved someone, she did so with all her heart. She put others above herself and showed unconditional love to those around her.

Gloria loved cooking and spending time with her loved ones. As a grandmother she never failed to show up for her grandchildren, she truly was the epitome of what a grandmother should be. Gloria would’ve gladly gone into battle for any one of her kids and spent most of her life caring for others. Gloria spent 30 blissful years with her husband Jeraldo Garcia. Gloria will forever be remembered by the love she showed to those around her. She taught those around her to enjoy life and to love your family with all your heart. Gloria Jean Garcia left family and friends with beautiful memories that will forever be cherished.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeraldo Garcia; her parents, Rosendo and Silveria Aragon; and her siblings, Silverio Aragon, Juan Aragon and Senida Aragon.

She is survived by her siblings: Pearl Anaya and husband Paul Anaya, Christina Aragon, Rosendo Aragon Jr, Martha Aragon. Her children Ray & Carol Zamora, Larry & Tammy Zamora, Richard Zamora, Aurora Reese, Robert & Denise Zamora, Travis & Lori Dempsey, Her Grand Children Jimmy & Adrienne Bargas, Azan & Vanessa Chavez, Santana & Jordan Zamora, Cimarron & Miriam Zamora, Vincent Zamora, Victor Zamora, Regina Zamora, Renee Zamora, Tera Zamora, Korey Reese, Kasey Reese, Luke & Jordyn King, Troy & Haley Hammock, Jacob Zamora and Jaden Zamora

Gloria’s legacy continues through her 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who were all a source of immense pride and joy for her. Her family and friends will remember her for her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and the love she showed to everyone around her.

A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held to honor her memory and the many lives she touched on Thursday, June 6, 2024, 11:00 am at the Assembly of God Church in Mountainair NM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Kayser Cemetary with a reception to follow at the Dr. Saul Community Building in Mountainair NM.

Pallbearers are Adrienne Bargas, Vincent Zamora, Regina Zamora, Korey Reese, Jordyn King, Jacob Zamora ,Vanessa Chavez, Santana Zamora, Cimarron Zamora, Victor Zamora, Renee Zamora, Tera Zamora, Kasey Reese , Haley Hammock & Jaden Zamora.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
